Romanian Cabbage Salad


  • 1/2 head of white cabbage shredded finely
  • 50ml white vinegar
  • 50ml oil
  • 1tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper


  1. Slice cabbage finely and place in bowl
  2. Add the oil, vinegar and some freshly ground black pepper. Stir well, until the cabbage salad starts to glisten
  3. Take handfuls of the cabbage and squeeze them in your hand to release the extra moisture.
  4. Taste and adjust (if necessary) with more salt, pepper, vinegar and oil. It should taste rather sour and salty.
