Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions control goods ordering, sales, and deliveries through Gas and Solar Appliances (PTY) Ltd (“we”, “us” and “our”).

By visiting our shop in store, or at Gas and Solar Appliances (PTY) Ltd, also accessed at www.gasandsolarappliances.co.za, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this agreement, and the other policies displayed on this site and in store.

Amendments of this agreement or any parts thereof are subject to change without prior notice.

The consumer thus being a person who purchases particular goods and services from a supplier.


Shopping Online and Instore

To shop with Gas and Solar Appliances (PTY) Ltd, you may checkout as a guest or go through our registration process. On registration, you will be asked to choose a password. It is entirely your responsibility to keep this password confidential. Any activities that occur under your user ID and password are entirely your responsibility.

If Gas and Solar Appliances (PTY) Ltd believes that you are providing untrue, inaccurate, or incomplete information, we may choose to suspend or terminate your account. Gas and Solar Appliances (PTY) Ltd will not be liable to you for any loss or damage arising from the failure to maintain the confidentiality of your password.

By shopping at Gas And Solar Appliances (PTY) Ltd, you authorize that you are of full legal capacity and over the age of 18 (eighteen) years of age. Should you not be authorized to enter into a legal binding agreement, or under the age of 18 (eighteen), then you may shop at Gas And Solar Appliances (PTY) Ltd only if you are under the supervision of your parent, custodian, or legal guardian, who will then be bound to these Terms and Conditions


Placing Orders

Most orders are dispatched within our turnaround time, 5-15 working days (excluding lead-time orders). In the unlikely event that there are unexpected delays (including lead time orders), we may not be able to dispatch the items within the scheduled time provided, however, you will be notified of such delay.

We will only begin processing your order once full payment has been received and cleared in our bank account. In event that we are out of stock, we will notify you and update you regarding the process of your order or alternative options.

Payments not received within 2 working days will not confirm stock availability. Payments not received after 7 days will result in the order being automatically cancelled from our end.

Gas And Solar Appliances (PTY) Ltd will indicate the acceptance of your order by delivering the Goods to you or allowing you to collect them only after the conclusion of the sale, and a representative of Gas And Solar Appliances (PTY) Ltd has informed you of such.


Errors and/or Omissions

There may be typist’s error, inaccuracies, and/or omissions on descriptions which will include stock availability, pricing, and various other information. As much as Gas and Solar Appliances (PTY) Ltd strives to have the correct information readily available, we reserve the right to correct these errors, omissions, and inaccuracies or update the information at any time without prior notice. Should there be an error in pricing, Gas and Solar Appliances (PTY) Ltd will not be obliged to sell the product at the incorrect price, and shall only be liable to refund the monies paid, should you not wish to proceed with the purchase at the correct price.


Stock Availability

Gas and Solar Appliances (PTY) Ltd website contains numerous products and despite our best efforts, some of those products may be out of stock.

Items on special at Gas and Solar Appliances (PTY) Ltd are limited. Gas and Solar Appliances (PTY) Ltd shall take all reasonable efforts to ensure that when a particular item is no longer available, that offers thereof are discontinued. However, should items still be offered after stocks are sold out and Gas and Solar Appliances (PTY) Ltd is unable to fulfil the orders placed at advertised prices, Gas and Solar Appliances (PTY) Ltd shall only be liable to refund the amount paid by you, for the product.

Placing items into your wish list or basket, without concluding the sale, will not confirm stock availability. Items may be removed from your basket and/or wish list if the stock is no longer available or the price of such item might change without notice to you.



Gas and Solar Appliances (PTY) Ltd product and sale prices are subject to change without notice.

Sales prices do not apply to a previous purchase already made, regardless of the time that has passed between the existing purchase and the sale price put in effect afterward.

No refund will be given in respect of a price difference between the existing order and the sale price.

Prices are inclusive of VAT, at the rate of 15%, but exclude delivery costs, which are automatically calculated upon checkout.



Payments for the goods for sale by Gas And Solar (PTY) Ltd can be made through the following methods:

Direct Bank Transfer This payment method can take up to 2 (two) working days to reflect. When paying via internet transfer into our bank account, please use your order number as a reference. We are more than happy to receive proof of payment, however, we still cannot process any order until the payment has cleared our bank account, regardless if it is an “instant” transfer.

PayFast – You may use the following payment options with Payfast;

  1. Credit or Cheque Cards (Master Card or Visa issued within South Africa)
  2. Debit Cards (issued within South Africa)
  3. Instant EFT (access to your internet banking to make an Electronic Funds Transfer that gets instantly verified)
  4. Mobicred (Mobicred is an online credit facility that allows you to shop online)

Ozow – uses your internet banking account to log in and pay for your purchase

Once you have selected your payment method (excluding Direct Bank Transfer) you will then be directed to the relevant payment gateway page to process your payment. Do not close the page unless instructed, or it will cancel your payment for your order.

Payments must be made within 2 days from making the order, failing to do so will result in your order being cancelled and will not confirm stock availability.

We do not accept COD (cash on delivery). Gas and Solar (PTY) Ltd will not be held liable for any cash given to our drivers as payment. Orders will only be processed and dispatched once the payment reflects in our account.



If for any reason you wish to cancel an order, please contact us immediately. Should you cancel your order after your item has been dispatched, the delivery charge will not be refunded. You will also be liable for the transport cost to return the item as well as a cancellation fee of 15%.



Deliveries are dispatched within our turnaround time of 5-15 working days (excluding lead-time orders). In the unlikely event that there are unexpected delays (including lead time orders), we may not be able to dispatch the items within the scheduled time provided, however, you will be notified of such delay.

Delivery costs are subject to change without prior notice

The delivery charge is calculated on checkout once you have added your delivery address.

If delivery is to outlying, rural or informal settlements, or into a reserve or estate, or any area consisting of entry fees, this will incur a surcharge that must be paid by the customer in addition to the existing order value before delivery. If such payment for the surcharge is not made, your order will not be processed, until full and correct payment is received.

We are unable to deliver heavy/oversized products to any houses, flats, or any building containing stairs. Please ensure that suitable arrangements are made on your side, to have the product/s moved into your home.

Deliveries will only be made to the delivery address selected on checkout. If you are unable to be present at the delivery of the parcel please ensure that a 3rd party is made available to accept the delivery. Please forward the 3rd party details to the sales rep handling your order, which will include the name and ID number, along with contact details. Ensure that this person has Identification and a letter signed by the purchaser giving the necessary authority for the 3rd party to collect on behalf of the purchaser.

Gas and Solar Appliances (PTY) Ltd has no control over the courier companies and the quality of their services, therefore we cannot be held liable for inconvenience or delays caused by the couriers. If a courier makes multiple attempts to deliver, without success, you may be charged a handling fee. Kindly note that we are not held responsible for any loss, theft, or damage during shipping.

NB: Signing the POD (proof of delivery) from the courier serves to confirm that the parcel was received in good order. We do not have to prove the delivery of your order or that you have received the items. We will accept the signature on the POD submitted by the courier that a person at the address given on the order has signed for delivery.

Unfortunately, POD’s cannot be kept indefinitely. If delivery has been dispatched by us and not reported missing by you within 72 hours of us having dispatched it, the package will be deemed to have been delivered without us having to provide proof of such delivery.

Dispatching of parcels, and Courier Delivery is done from Monday to Friday excluding weekends and Public Holidays. We do not accept a P.O Box Address for delivery. Choosing courier delivery and providing a P.O Box address will automatically put your order on hold until a physical address is supplied.

Once your order has been processed and a tracking number is provided, the onus is on the buyer to track their order.



Once your order has been processed, Gas and Solar Appliances will notify you that your order is ready for collection. Stock is not always kept in the warehouse, therefore no collections will be allowed before you are notified to do so by a sales representative.

Collections can be arranged in person or through your own courier. Warehouse collection times are Mon-Friday only from 9 am – 3 pm. Gas and Solar Appliances must be notified of all courier collections by email and include the following details: Courier Company, Gas and Solar Appliances order/quote number, Customer Name.



You must contact us within 7 days regarding any fault, defect, damage, or discrepancy of an item, from the date the item was received.

Should you have received a product that is different from the one you have ordered, you must contact us within 2 days from receipt of the item. You will be required to provide pictures of the incorrect unit, as well as a copy of your original TAX INVOICE. Do not remove the product from its original packaging, or any of its stickers/labels, or tamper with or use the product in any way. If the product has been used or tampered with or defaced and is not in the condition it was dispatched in, you will be liable for a 15% handling fee plus delivery costs to return the unit.


The following will NOT be regarded as defects/faults/damages:

  1. Any faults arising from normal wear and tear or damages resulting from user abuse, rodent/insect infestation, connection to incorrect voltages, negligence, or incorrect use of the product.
  2. Failure to adequately care for the product.
  3. Damages due to unauthorised opening or alterations to the product.
  4. Damages arising from electrical surges; sea air corrosion, and or natural causes
  5. Incorrect or Inadequate installations not done by registered and traceable certified installers, or without certification documents that are required by law
  6. Goods used for any purpose other than which it is intended i.e. commercial use of domestic appliances
  7. Goods sold as a factory second (shop soiled)


The onus is on you to prove that an item is faulty or has any defects. You will be required to provide pictures or videos of said fault/defect as well as providing a copy of your original TAX INVOICE, as well as all relevant legal certificates that would have been issued upon installation of an item (where applicable).

The goods must be returned to us in the condition they were dispatched and undamaged with all seals intact, complete with all packaging and manuals, guarantee, and gift boxes or any additional items from bundle deals.

The unit must be delivered at your own cost and the onus is on you to track your parcel and ensure that it reaches our offices addressed to the relevant sales representative you were dealing with. The item remains your responsibility until they are received and signed for by a Gas and Solar Appliances (PTY) Ltd agent or representative.

Gas and Solar Appliances (PTY) Ltd reserves the right to have the goods referred for technical assessment by the manufacturer and to revert to the client with feedback within 14 working days of receipt of the product.

The item will be assessed for defect, damage, or misuse or if the item is still in good quality. After the assessment has been made, a decision will be made as to whether a refund, replacement, or repair will be given.

If the items are returned in bad condition, with damaged boxes and packaging, missing any attachments, manuals, or instructions, or missing items part of a bundle deal, then the charges for the items or damage may be deducted from your refund or credit. If it is reported that the goods were misused, then Gas and Solar Appliances (PTY) Ltd will not replace or refund the goods.

Gas and Solar Appliances (PTY) Ltd does not personally carry out the repairs.

All returns must be accompanied with your ORIGINAL TAX INVOICE and the reason for your return. Without this, we are unable to proceed with the necessary steps to assisting you with your return.

If an unwanted product is returned to be exchanged for a different product, the customer will be charged or refunded any price difference, plus charged for handling fees and delivery charges.

Should an item be damaged upon delivery, we will require a photograph/video showcasing the outer box (including whether it has a Fragile sticker or not), as well as showing the inside of the box and the damaged item. We would also require a copy of your ORIGINAL TAX INVOICE.

Items damaged upon delivery and NOT noted upon Signing the POD (proof of delivery) from the courier, will then serve to confirm that the parcel was received in good order.

If a product becomes defective after the manufacturer’s warranty period has ended, we will make reasonable efforts to arrange with the manufacturer and or its service agents to assist with the repair of the product, however, Gas and Solar Appliances (PTY) Ltd will not be held liable for their failure to do so.

No refund will be given on shipping costs or admin fees. Refund only applies to the price paid by the consumer, for the goods purchased, less any amount that may be charged, regardless of faults/defects, buyers remorse, cancellations.

The Buyer will be charged a handling fee on returned goods at a rate of 15%.

Payments made through Payfast will be reversed through the platform, and all other forms if payments will be done through EFT.

NB: Refunds can take up to 15 business days to process after the return. Refunds can take up to 10 working days to reflect into your bank account once processed due to the differences of banking platforms.



All warranties and/or guarantees supplied with the products as sold by Gas And Solar Appliances (PTY) Ltd are at the Supplier’s discretion. Should you be unsure about the product’s guarantee/warranty, do not hesitate to contact us for any clarification.

The appliances warranty/guarantee will be rendered null and void if not used as per the instructions that are contained within the owner’s manual.

Guarantee/Warranty only applies if the product is purchased and retained for use within The Republic of Southern Africa (excluding Lesotho & Swaziland).

Guarantee/Warranty will be null and void if you break, damage, or misuse any product, or if the serial number of the unit has been altered, defaced, or removed.

Guarantee/Warranty will be null and void if the goods are used for any purpose other than which it is intended i.e. commercial use of domestic appliances.

Warranty/guarantee is rendered null and void if unauthorized repairs are attempted or if the product is not installed by a registered, certified installer that can be traceable, and has provided the necessary legal documentation required by Law for the installation on the product.

Please retain your original unaltered Tax Invoice as proof of purchase and warranty/guarantee.  Failure to produce such sales invoice document will result in charges being applied for any work done, even if the appliance is stated to be within its warranty/guarantee period.



Although we will offer you the best service we possibly can, we make no promise that our online shopping services will entirely meet your requirements.

Gas and Solar Appliances (PTY) Ltd cannot guarantee that the site will be available at all times or that the service will be uninterrupted, timely, or error free. We may experience hardware, software, or other problems or the need to perform maintenance to the site

Gas and Solar (PTY) Ltd reserves the right to change, update, suspend, revise, discontinue and modify the site at any time without prior notice.


Coupon and Vouchers

The below T&C’s also apply to vouchers

The Coupon is a redeemable payment mechanism offered to Gas and Solar Appliances (PTY) Ltd Clients for online purchase only. The coupon is identified by the cash value of the coupon, coupon code, and the date that the coupon is valid. If the voucher is not used within the stipulated time when issued, it will expire, and be deemed invalid

If the coupon is less than the amount required to conclude the sale, you may proceed to pay the balance of such an order using the various payment methods listed.

Balance payment (after the coupon has been deducted) that is not received within 2 days will not confirm stock availability and will risk your order being cancelled due to non-payment.

Coupons do not apply to sales items. Only one coupon can be redeemed per order, and therefore you cannot redeem multiple coupons for the same order. Each coupon is only valid for 1 (one) transaction.

If failing to purchase for the qualifying minimum order spend, when the coupon is in effect, the discount will not apply upon the order.

To redeem the coupon, a valid coupon code must be entered into the designated field upon purchasing an item online at Gas and Solar Appliances (PTY) Ltd.

Each coupon is only valid for a limited time and will expire on the date specified upon the receipt of the coupon. Gas and Solar Appliances (PTY) Ltd reserves a right to discontinue the sale of new coupons anytime, and or cancel a coupon issued at any time.

If you have redeemed a coupon on an order, but later decide to cancel the order, the coupon will not be valid for a new order.

Coupons only apply to a minimum order amount spent of R2500.00 as listed when the coupon is issued.

Gas and Solar Appliances (PTY) will not be liable for a replacement of a coupon that is discontinued, cancelled, or used due to fraud and or loss of coupon, after it’s been delivered to the email address you have nominated.

The Gas and Solar Appliances (PTY) Ltd coupon cannot be exchanged for cash.

If any items are returned after being purchased with a coupon, the coupon value will be subtracted from the return credit.

Shipping and handling charges apply to all products.

You may be required to submit original communication with yourself and Gas And Solar Appliances (PTY) Ltd showing the coupon code, to verify that the Coupon is Valid.



The Winner will be determined by the Promoter. The Winner may only be the person who originally entered the competition.

The Judge’s determination of the Winner will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

The Winner will be notified by email, phone (voice or text) and must be available for participation in all publicity that may be required by the Promoter. Where attempts to contact the Winner fail or whereby the Winner does not attempt to collect or supply personal details for delivery (within two weeks of prize announcement), the Judge will select another winner. If, after successful notification, the Prize is not claimed within 1 month of being announced it will be regarded as forfeit.

The Prize is not redeemable for cash or transferable. If the Prize becomes unavailable for any reason, the Promoter may substitute the original prize for a prize of like or equal value.

Where the Winner is required to claim the Prize in person, he /she must provide proper identification (e.g. driver’s license, passport, birth certificate). If the Winner is under the age of 18 (eighteen) years his/her parent or legal guardian must accompany the Winner or give his/her prior written consent to the award of the Prize.

The Winner takes the Prize entirely at his/her own risk and indemnifies the Promoter in respect of any claim for any accident, injury, property damage, or loss of life that may occur in connection with the Prize.



By entering into the Layby agreement with Gas And Solar Appliances (PTY) Ltd, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to this agreement.

Goods purchased remain the property of Gas And Solar Appliances (PTY) Ltd, until full payment has been received and Layby officially closed and a Tax Invoice has been issued for the goods.

The Start Date of the Layby will reflect on the layby slip upon opening the layby.

Laybys are valid for three (3) months only and goods will be held on the Layby for a maximum of ninety (90) days from Start Date on the layby.

A minimum deposit of 30% (thirty percent) of the end total price of the Layby is required.

Payment of the goods must be paid in full on or before the end date (expiry) of the Layby.

No extensions are permitted on the Layby.

When paying or collecting the goods of the Layby, only the original purchaser is to do so, and identification can be asked to prove such.

If failure to settle the Layby by the Layby End Date, the Layby will expire and goods then put back in stock. The monies for the Layby will be refunded to the original Purchase less 15% handling fee.

Cancellation of a Layby will be liable to a 15% cancellation fee.

Items purchased on a Layby, will still be subject to the returns policy of Gas and Solar Appliances (PTY) Ltd.



No Guarantee/Refunds/Returns on Auction Items



Apart from the provisions of sections 45(5) and 43(6) of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, neither Gas and Solar Appliances (PTY) Ltd, nor any of its agents or representatives shall be liable for any damages, loss, or liability of whatsoever nature arising from the use or inability to use this website or the services or content provided from and through this website. Furthermore, Gas and Solar Appliances (PTY) Ltd makes no representations or warranties, implied or otherwise, that, amongst others, the content and technology available from this website are free from errors or omissions or that the service will be 100% uninterrupted and error free. Users are encouraged to report any possible malfunctions and errors to us by contacting us through the website contact form.

This website is supplied on an “as is” basis and has not been compiled or supplied to meet the user’s requirements. It is the sole responsibility of the user to satisfy itself before entering into this agreement with Gas and Solar Appliances (PTY) Ltd that the service available from and through this website will meet the user’s requirements and be compatible with the user’s hardware and or/software.

Gas And Solar Appliances (PTY) Ltd Terms and Conditions may change without prior notice, thus the onus is on you to regularly check these Terms and Conditions, to make sure that you are satisfied with its changes. Should you not be content with these changes, you must not in any way use the website or place any orders. Should you do so, you shall be deemed to have accepted all Terms and Conditions as stipulated within.

When you visit Gas And Solar Appliances (PTY) Ltd or subscribe to any of our newsletters, you give consent to receiving communication from us, through either email, WhatsApp, or SMS. You can at any time remove yourself from such subscriptions, by the links provided within the subscriptions.

The names of our online services and other services referenced on our website are either trademarks or registered trademarks of Gas and Solar Appliances (PTY) Ltd.


General Information

Gas and Solar Appliances (PTY) Ltd reserves the right to terminate your ability to use our services if your conduct is found to be inconsistent with these Terms and Conditions.

Gas and Solar Appliances (PTY) Ltd shall not be responsible for any breach of these conditions caused by circumstances beyond its control. If Gas and Solar Appliances (PTY) Ltd is informed of any inaccuracies in the material on the online shopping service it will attempt to correct the inaccuracies as soon as it reasonably can.



This agreement is subject to the laws of the Republic of South Africa and the exclusive jurisdiction of the South African Courts.
