Why Switch To Gas?

No load shedding blues when the power goes out.

Using Liquid Petroleum (LP) gas serves a great purpose during power outages and also helps cut down your monthly electricity bill and hence gas appliances are more cost efficient to run than electrical appliances.

Whilst initially investing in gas appliances can be expensive, over time the gas would have paid for itself, thus you pocket extra money every month.

Unlike electricity, where increased consumption causes higher tariffs, the more gas appliances you install, the more you can save.

Investing in a gas fridge or freezer will result in less food spoilage, when the power goes off.

Gas stoves, fridges, freezers, and gas water heaters require very little upkeep to run efficiently.

Working with a gas stove is easier to control. It also does not take time to heat up like an electrical oven. Once the flame is on, instant heat, and when it is switched off, the heat is instantly gone. Unlike an electrical stove, when you turn the power off, you will need to remove your food immediately to avoid it overcooking or burning, and this can also be a safety issue, especially to the young, who may not realize that the surface is too hot to touch.

Gas stoves have a faster cooking time than an electrical unit. The heat is also distributed evenly and your pots and pans heat up much quicker.

Electric water heaters are known for using a lot of electricity, and your energy bill can be higher than necessary if your water heater is left on 24/7. Installing a gas water heater will drastically reduce your electricity bill as the unit is not kept on to heat the water. A gas water heater works when the hot water tap is opened in your home, and instantly ignites the flame to heat the pipe carrying the water. Once you switch off the tap, the flame goes out and thus it is not kept on.

Using gas products will produce less greenhouse gas emissions than electricity
